The Bureau of Eligibility Processing  is composed of the Division of Central Eligibility Processing, and the Division of Local Eligibility Processing.

The Division of Central Eligibility Processing works with the following programs: The Family Planning Waiver, TEFRA, Breast and Cervical Cancer, the Qualified Individuals Program and the GAPS program. All applications for these programs should be sent to CEP, P.O. 100101, Columbia, SC 29202-3101. All applications for other Medicaid programs should be sent to the local county SCDHHS office..

The Division of Local Eligibility Processing oversees Medicaid applications at local South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services offices and out stationed sites throughout the state.
