Social Service Block Grant FY 2003 Plan - The state of South Carolina is required to develop a program plan for disbursing Social Service Block Grant (SSBG) funds and present it to the citizens of the state for review and comment on an annual basis. The development of this plan requires the establishment of a planning process to ensure that priority service needs of the state are addressed. This plan is published by SCDHHS and made available for review and comment by posting on the Internet.
This plan includes a brief history of federal social services programs, an explanation of the SSBG program, a description of the state's eligibility and service delivery system, and specific service information. Also included are the FFY-2003 Pre-Expenditure report and the Post-Expenditure report for FFY-2001.
