The Division of Procurement purchases goods and services for the agency in accordance with the South Carolina Consolidated Procurement Code. The Division reviews all purchase requests and determine "end use" requirements, specifications, funding sources and equipment classifications. The Procurement Division assists Agency staff concerning procurements for their respective areas by advising staff of current procurement policies and procedures ensuring they receive "state of the art" goods and resolves all problems that may arise during the procurement process.

The Division acts as the liaison between the Office of General Services, other agencies, and outside vendors to make sure all needs are met for both the end user and the vendor.

The Division's goal is to satisfy our DHHS "CUSTOMERS" while adhering to all agency policies, procedures, regulations, and the South Carolina Consolidated Procurement Code.
