SCDHHS and KEPRO Provider Quality Improvement Training

The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) will co-sponsor provider and facility training with the Keystone Peer Review Organization (KEPRO), the SCDHHS Quality Improvement Organization. The annual quality improvement training includes requirements, updates and a review of the process and procedures for prior authorization.

 

New Provider Workshops

The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) has added two new workshops on the provider web tool this February in Greenville, Feb. 4, and Florence, Feb. 5.

The workshop, Web Tool Attachments and Updates, introduces Healthy Connections Medicaid providers to the web tool claim attachment feature, with an emphasis placed on the process of attaching claims. Other web tool functions reviewed in the workshop include status reporting, history of submitted claims and the draft claim menu.

Below is a schedule of the free provider workshops offered by the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to include Medicaid Basics, Comprehensive Web Tool, Web Tool Updates and Third Party Liability.

Medicaid Basics (click to register )

Jan. 13 • Feb. 10 • March 10 — 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Columbia

March 5 — 10 a.m.- 4 p.m., Charleston

Discover the South Carolina Healthy Connections Medicaid Program. This course provides overviews on general policies and topics such as: eligibility, claim filing options, the remittance package, Third Party Liability (TPL) and claim-level adjustments.

Four Regional Provider Trainings OSS program and OSCAP Service Updates

The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS), Division of Community and Facility Services, will host four regional trainings on updates to the policies and procedures for Optional State Supplementation (OSS) and Optional Supplemental Care for Assisted Living Program (OSCAP) providers. These trainings are for any Community Residential Care Facility (CRCF) currently enrolled as an OSS provider and for those contracted OSCAP providers.
