Description: National Correct Coding Initiative
Effective September 27, 2011, the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) will implement the National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) on a prepayment basis for claims with a date of service on or after October 1, 2010. This is in accordance with Section 6507 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (P.L. 111-148), as amended by the Health Care and Education Recovery Act of 2010 (P.L. 111-152), together referred to as the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

Description: On May 17, 2011, the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) issued a bulletin announcing our partnership with MedSolutions for the management of Prior Authorizations (PA) on High Tech Radiology Services. ATC Medicaid managed care plan scaling back in Upstate
Description: Columbia, SC—approximately 8,100 South Carolina Medicaid Beneficiaries in the upstate who are enrolled in the Absolute Total Care (ATC) Managed Care Plan will soon be asked to choose another plan, the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) announced Wednesday. The announcement comes after ATC notified the department it intends to withdraw from participation in Spartanburg, Cherokee and Union Counties.

These callers have attempted to gain personal information, such as Social Security numbers, Medicaid identification numbers and bank account numbers.
