Four Regional Provider Trainings OSS program and OSCAP Service Updates

The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS), Division of Community and Facility Services, will host four regional trainings on updates to the policies and procedures for Optional State Supplementation (OSS) and Optional Supplemental Care for Assisted Living Program (OSCAP) providers. These trainings are for any Community Residential Care Facility (CRCF) currently enrolled as an OSS provider and for those contracted OSCAP providers.

SCDHHS has put together this training in order to update providers on policies governing the OSS program. During these training dates, attendees will be reminded of policies that are currently used in OSS and OSCAP facilities. Attendees will also be educated on policies that will come into effect in the near future for different aspects of the facility, including billing. Thus, this is a very important and educational training experience that will be very useful to OSS and OSCAP providers.

Registration is mandatory for all attendees, as space is limited. Meetings are scheduled for October 22, 24, 29 and 30 in four locations throughout the state: Charleston, Columbia, Greenville and Florence. Meeting details, including the logistics for each location, are attached.
