Healthy Connections Choices Enrollment Broker Training

PROVIDER ALERT

The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS), in partnership with the state’s contracted enrollment broker, MAXIMUS, will facilitate two provider training sessions in May.

At the trainings providers will learn about the Medicaid managed care enrollment process for South Carolina Healthy Connections and Healthy Connections Prime, including using the enrollment broker website, scchoices.com, and supporting Medicaid members in choosing their provider medical home and health plan. This training is beneficial for any providers and provider office staff interested in understanding member enrollment, how to retain patients and those interested in an introduction to Healthy Connections Prime. For offices assisting patients with applying for Medicaid, this information can also be useful in ensuring patients understand the full process and next steps after their application is accepted.

Provider training is scheduled from 10 a.m.-noon May 3 in Columbia and May 17 in Greenville.
