Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Part C Program (BabyNet) Updates and Important Dates


Conference Call Information for Question and Answer Session with BabyNet Providers and MCOs
The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) will host a call with representatives from managed care organizations (MCOs) and providers to answer questions about the integration of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part C, commonly known as BabyNet, and Medicaid programs on Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, from 2-3 p.m. BabyNet providers wishing to submit questions and comments for MCOsto address on the call should email them to bnproviderenrollment@scdhhs.govby noon Friday, Nov. 8. SCDHHSwill forward questions submitted by the deadline to the MCOs to be discussed during the call. Due to time constraints, answers will only be provided to questions that were submitted by the noon deadline on Nov. 8.

Bulk Approval Feature Now Available in BRIDGES, Resources Available
A new feature in the BabyNet Reporting & Intervention Data Gathering Electronic System (BRIDGES) is now available for use by service coordination providers who have agency administrator access. Through the new bulk approvalfeature in BRIDGES, multiple pending service logs for family training and service coordination can be approved or disapproved at one time. The feature was added to expedite the approval and denial process for service coordination providers.

Two new resources have been added to the BabyNet Announcementswebpage that illustrate how to access and utilize the new bulk approval feature:

  • A job aidthat provides a step-by-step guide for service coordination providers with administrator access to approve/disapprove service logs for T1016, T1018, and T1027; and,

  • A presentationthat describes and demonstrates the new bulk approval feature.
