June 2016 Regional OSS and OSCAP Provider Trainings

The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) Division of Community and Facility Services will host four regional trainings on updates to the policies and procedures for Optional State Supplementation (OSS) and Optional Supplemental Care for Assisted Living Program (OSCAP) providers. These trainings, scheduled in June, are for any Community Residential Care Facility (CRCF) currently enrolled as an OSS provider and for those contracted OSCAP providers.

Provider training is scheduled from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. June 14, 21, 22 and 23 in four locations throughout the state: Charleston, Columbia, Greenville and Florence. Training details, including the logistics for each location, are attached.

SCDHHS created this training in order to update providers on policies governing the OSS program. During the training, attendees will be reminded of policies that are currently used in OSS and OSCAP facilities. Thus, it is a very important for OSS and OSCAP providers to participate.

Registration is mandatory for all attendees, as space is limited. To register, please visit the Healthy Connections Medicaid Provider Education website, medicaidelearning.com, or call the South Carolina Medicaid Provider Service Center at (888) 289-0709 and choose the option '1.'

If you have any questions regarding the training events, please contact the Department of Community and Facility Services at (803) 898-1060 or (803) 898-1810.

Thank you for your continued support of the South Carolina Healthy Connections Medicaid program.
