Updated Training Resources for School-based Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services Providers

PROVIDER ALERT

The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) has posted updated training resources in support of its school-based mental health services initiative. These resources include training presentations on provider enrollment, fee-for-service (FFS) claims submission, and the provision of rehabilitative behavioral health services (RBHS) delivered in school-based settings.

Provider Enrollment Training

webinar on the provider enrollment process has been published on SCDHHS’ school-based mental health services website. The training demonstrates how to enroll with SCDHHS as a provider, discusses contract procedures, and reviews recently updated enrollment requirements for licensed individual practitioners (LIPs) and RBHS providers.

Claims Submission Training

The FFS claims submission process webinar for providers has been published on SCDHHS’ school-based mental health services website. The training covers a range of topics including claims submission basics, claim filing options, remittance advices and other resources.

RBHS Services in School-based Settings Training

The RBHS training webinar offers insight to providers who need an introduction or refresher to South Carolina Healthy Connections Medicaid policies and procedures. The training examines documentation requirements for different RBHS services, introduces SCDHHS’ managed care organizations (MCOs), and provides answers to commonly asked questions from school-based mental health service providers.

Providers may direct questions regarding these resources to the SCDHHS Office of Behavioral Health at behavioralhealth004@scdhhs.gov.

Thank you for your continued support of the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
