Public Notice of Final Action for Therapeutic Child Care Rate Increase
The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) gives notice of the following actions regarding rates for therapeutic child care services under the State Plan under Title XIX of the Social Security Act Medical Assistance Program (Medicaid).
Effective for services on or after Oct. 1, 2022, SCDHHS will amend the South Carolina Title XIX State Plan to increase rates for the following services:

These rates are being increased to support the provider network and ensure access to care for these services.
Based on the actions above, SCDHHS anticipates a budget impact of approximately $1,285,623 per year in total dollars:
- $1,247,055 managed care organizations
- $38,568 fee-for-service
