Early Intervention Services Provider Manual

MB#
23-013

The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) is announcing the upcoming publication of the revised Early Intervention Services provider manual. The manual will consolidate program information and requirements, billing procedures and provider services guidelines for early intervention services for children birth to six years of age. It will also include new provider flexibilities. A draft of the new Early Intervention Services provider manual is available for review here. The manual will go into effect and be posted on the provider manual page of SCDHHS’ website June 1, 2023. Providers are encouraged to submit feedback about the policy changes included in the draft manual by emailing BabyNet@scdhhs.gov by May 1, 2023.

This manual revision specifically includes service coordination and special instruction/family training. Providers should carefully review this manual to be compliant with policy guidelines.

After publication, the Early Intervention Services provider manual will be maintained on the provider manual page of the SCDHHS website. Once the manual is published, providers should continue to direct questions regarding the manual to BabyNet@scdhhs.gov.

Thank you for your continued support of the South Carolina Healthy Connections Medicaid and BabyNet programs.
