SCDHHS Seeks Public Comments on BabyNet
Pursuant to Executive Order 2016-20 and effective July 1, 2017, the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) will assume lead agency designation for the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part C program, known in South Carolina as “BabyNet,” from South Carolina First Steps to School Readiness.
BabyNet is South Carolina’s interagency early intervention system for infants and toddlers under three years of age with developmental delays, or who have conditions associated with developmental delays.
SCDHHS is seeking public comment on the FY 2017-18 IDEA Part C grant application .
The South Carolina Interagency Coordinating Council (ICC) is hosting a series of public hearings to address the grant application, changes to BabyNet policies and procedures and the lead agency transfer. Currently scheduled public hearings are listed below.
