SCDHHS Behavioral Health Policy Updates for July 1, 2022, Updated Provider Manuals

PROVIDER ALERT

The behavioral health policies announced by the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) in the bulletin dated June 13, 2022 ( MB 22-007 ), have been updated in the provider manuals and are effective for dates of service beginning July 1, 2022.

View the updated policy language for the  Child and Adolescent Level of Care/Service Intensity Utilization System  in the Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services (RBHS) and Licensed Independent Practitioner Rehabilitative Services (LIP) provider manuals.

View the updated policy language for  therapeutic childcare  and  therapeutic foster care  in the RBHS provider manual .

View the updated policy language for  signature requirement changes for advanced practice registered nurses and physician assistants  in the  Community Mental Health Services provider manual .

View the updated policy language for  serious occurrence reporting for psychiatric residential treatment facilities  in the Psychiatric Hospital Services provider manual .
