The SCBOI Behavioral Health workgroup brings together key stakeholders to address the unmet maternal mental health and substance use disorder treatment needs of pregnant and postpartum women and their infants.
Current areas of focus:
- Implementation of a statewide Perinatal Psychiatry Access Program and Plan of Family Care.
- Developing a plan of safe care for women with prenatal period.
- Awareness, education, and prevention efforts for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).
